OLD VS. NEW

There are some differences between Old media and New Media. I would say old media is like one sided, where you can only give the information, but cant receive it. Also, its slow. New Media is faster, reliable and user oriented. Old media is something like Newspapers, magazines or books. New media is digitalizing. Something like Kindle or online books, newspapers.

1.) Finding Information. Like, if someone wants to find some kind of information through old media than it would take long time for that person to do it. Cause they have to read or find the articles and etc. New media does it very fast and also its reliable with its information. Also, you get much more information write by sitting home then going out to find those informations.

2.) During Old days the only way of faster communication was Phones. Now with New technology around we have E-Mail, IM, Video Calling and etc. This new technology enable us to use the world wide source faster and helps us to interact with the people all over the world.

3.) Education Online - Now a days from the help of new media students can study from the home and when ever they have time. This helps them to earn the degree. Many colleges have started this online classes. Like,
University of Berkeley’s gives students an option to take their classes online. Where in old media, this convenient ways of education wasn't possible.

  1. Old media producers like newspaper companies, record labels and video game stores are suffering greatly with the rise of the internet, as people are now accessing the daily news online, playing games online and downloading music online. These retail stores that sell these goods are now becoming redundant as the internet is not only faster but a lot cheaper too.
